The Cziczo group welcomes two new additions for spring semester, 2015: Fabian Mahrt, a PhD candidate from ETH-Zurich will be in the group as a visiting student and Elizabeth Rider will join us as a UROP student. Welcome Fabian and Elizabeth!
During the fall term of 2014, Karin will be teaching Experimental Atmospheric Chemistry at MIT. This mixed undergraduate and graduate course is part of MIT’s Atmospheric Chemistry Minor.
During October, 2014 Dan will be on sabbatical at the NOAA Chemical Sciences Division in Boulder, CO. Hosted by Dan Murphy and Karl Froyd, Dan will be working on projects including the role of mineral dust in the atmosphere.
Shaena Berlin successfully defended her M.S. thesis, entitled “An electrodynamic balance (EDB) for extraterrestrial cloud formation studies” in MIT’s Department of Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences. This summer Shaena will begin a full-time position at ENVIRON.
On Thursday April 3 Karin Ardon-Dryer will give the Department of Chemistry seminar at the University of New Hampshire on her work on ice nucleation at MIT.
On Monday March 10 Sarvesh Garimella successfully defended his thesis proposal at MIT. Congratulations Sarvesh!
On Friday February 28 Beth Friedman successfully defended her thesis at the University of Washington. Congratulations to Beth!
